Now, we’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Life Sciences Solutions team, to work on products that contribute to the areas of Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety. This role will give you the opportunity to work with complex, innovative technology in order to make a real impact on patients’ quality of life and wellbeing.

  • An Agile Scrum environment
  • A reactive AWS cloud platform
  • Scala, Java 8
  • Event-oriented experience queues like SQS, JMS, Kafka
  • Plugins including Jenkins and Rx

More about the role

Joining the Infrastructure and Operations team, you’ll be helping with the design, build and maintenance of applications stacks. You’ll work as part of a product team to design and build infrastructure in AWS, as well as support developers with core tools such as Jenkins and Git. You’ll use your expertise to make sure our Technology, Infrastructure and Operations standards are maintained, and build tools to help other team members carry out operational tasks for themselves.

More about you

We might be a global business, but we work in a fast-moving, agile way. You’ll need to have a DevOps mindset, as well as experience of working as part of a scrum team. You’ll be happy to support product teams with customer-facing solutions, and be able to work in a team with people from all backgrounds. More specifically, you’ll have knowledge and experience of Linux (at scale), ElasticSearch, scripting (Ruby, Bash, Golang, Python or other scripting languages), large scale monitoring and reporting, continuous integration systems such as Gitlab Cl, Travis Cl or Jenkins, application containerization, and Kubernetes, or other container orchestration systems.
